Gnani.ai - survey 365

A dedicated UX designer with over 4 years of experience in the ever-evolving design industry. As a strategic thinker, I have developed expertise in design thinking,

Projects

Gnani.ai is a B2B service providing company working on new-age technologies like ASR, NLP and AI to build Conversational AImachinery for enterprises globally.

The aim of the project was to design the website to conduct a seamless experience for the companies to conduct customer feedback surveys through calls and messages. I worked on the following project under my mentor in Gnani.

Stakeholders  - Gnani's clients.

Objective

The objective of this project was to reduce the human interference for the customer feedback calls and make it a seamless experience for the clients and the users.

Projects

When I was onboarded onto this project, the initial set of screens were already made by my mentor, hence I decided to do my primary research by looking at different form based websites like google forms, survey monkey, Microsoft forms, etc and see where the objective of the product is different and some with that of these companies.

I then looked into the screens that were already made and suggested the following changes:-

According to the changes suggested, the designs are as follows:-

User Testing

With the design changes made, we decided to conduct user testing with a few employees in the company.

Task-To create a new form and test the same.

The observations for the test is as follows:-

According to the insights extracted through User Testings, the design changes made are as follows:-

Ideation

We then had a brainstorming session to find the solution to make the flow of uploading of the files of customers’ nos. and these were the low fidelity prototypes for it.

The high fidelity for these screens are as follows:-

UI Testing

After all the screens were made, it was shown to the CEO and the management. They were not quite happy with the color scheme and wanted us to do testing on UI. When I was told to do so, it didn’t make sense to test UI as it was very subjective but nevertheless, we were told to do so through Microsoft forms. The insights of the results are:-

Results Summary:

1. Survey took with People: 9

2. The overall design is given Satisfied with more than half of the people.

3. Page with the highest rating: Stats page.

4. Page with least rating: Summary Popup.

As I and my mentor weren’t happy about the results, we collectively made some of our peers test the design and provided a module of questions on the basis of testing their behavior while using the software and to gain insights from it.

The insights are as follows;-

1. Login slider image with AI element

2. Survey Builder Page

3. Test screen Page

4. Summary Popup that comes after the Results page

According to the above reviews, the color scheme was fine but we decided to give typography options. I, my mentor, and my colleague gave 3 options each and my options were:-

After assessing all the options for the fonts by 3 of us we decided on using ‘Maven Pro’ which was suggested by my colleague.

The insights obtained from the UI testing weren’t satisfactory so I had proposed to get an expert opinion on the UI and I took the charge and decided to contact Vinod, a professor from Srishti for it. As Vinod was busy, we had a call this week

The insights shared by him are as follows:-

UI changes

1. The design system has to be followed throughout the website.

2. Alignment issues need to be resolved throughout the website.

3. Visual hierarchy to be followed properly for the upload screen.

UX Changes

Dashboard-

1. Recently opened to be replaced by recently created

2. Folder creation feature in order to allow the users to sort their work.

3. Conduct research in order to know what kind of surveys the users generally conduct in order to create pre-defined templates.

Forms Creation Page-

1. Rearrange the question feature

2. Create a survey and test out CTA buttons to be the same

He also suggested conducting proper user testing with real-time users in order to get more insights on the product and make it more user-friendly.

The final version of the software came out to be like this

My Biggest Takeaway

Quantity will never fail you. To understand behavioral patterns, you need to speak to as many people as possible and make your testing process really extensive.
